ULAKBIM has started the National Electronic Sources Academic Licence (EKUAL) Project, following the TUBITAK Science Committee resolution dd. 19.11.2005 / no 136, in the year 2006, with the aim of enabling widespread access to scientific knowledge among researchers, increasing academic data production activity in our country, and diffusing the information services nation-wide, in accordance with its basic mission. The scope of the project has been extended to cover Training and Research Hospitals affiliated to the Ministry of Health upon the resolution dd. 11.02.2006 / no 139 by TUBITAK Science Committee. Thus, it is aimed to create equality of opprotunity in access to international scientific and academic knowledge among the researchers in both universities and Training and Research Hospitals, and to increase the efficiency of scientific knowledge production.
