Cahit Arf Information Center has been providing nationwide information and document delivery services using traditional and electronic means in order to meet the information needs of universities, public and industrial sectors, and to contribute to the production of academic information.

In addition to that, to encourage national academic information exchange, national bibliographic databases are being created in various fields of science. These databases are;

ULAKBIM national databases are available for users' access through ULAKBIM website.

The service is open to anyone working or studying in the academic and research institutions, government departments and other public funded organizations. Requests from profit making and commercial organizations are also met.

ULAKBIM users can use these information and document services by;

• using the terminals in ULAKBIM Library,
• filling the application forms in ULAKBIM Webpage.

Search requests made using online application forms are carried out by subject specialists and librarians using a diversity of databases in various disciplines.

Requests for the photocopies of articles from ULAKBIM Library collections can be made using the "ULAKBIM Article Request System".

Online application to Document Delivery Services can be made over the "ULAKBIM Electronic Document Delivery Sistem (BSS)". ULAKBIM Document Delivery Unit gives nationwide service, supplying documents from domestic sources and from abroad. ULAKBIM also collaborates with university libraries participating in the Joint Document Delivery Project.

ULAKBIM, has been cooperating with national consortia and acting as the national archive for electronic information resources, with the purpose of making efficient and widespread access to electronic resources available for academic research community nationwide.
