ULAKBİM National Databases Commissions will organize a collective "National Academic Publishing 2008" meeting for the first time this year in 21-22nd November 2008.

The aim of the meeting is to bring the researchers, editors, publishers, and users together and create a common platform to discuss the issues related with the publication of scientific journals in Turkey; problems in the process of publication of journals and preparation of databases, solutions to these problems, and ways to increase the efficiency and recognition of these journals in the international community.

The common program taking place on the first day is planned to last until lunchtime. The sessions organized by each database commission will continue separately afterwards, in different meeting halls.

Meeting is open to all participants and free of charge.
